The archway frames it perfectly: cobbled steps tumbling down between shuttered houses, café tables under striped awnings, and the Mediterranean stretching out blue beyond the rooftops. This is a Riviera hillside town at its busiest hour, balconies dripping with pink geraniums and a lamp-post standing guard over the little bistro on the corner.
There's plenty to keep your eye moving — the terracotta roof tiles, the shop signs, the stonework of the arch itself — but the strong blocks of colour (that sea, those flowers, the golden stone) give you clear places to start sorting. A nice one for anyone who fancies a coastal scene without endless sky or water to contend with.
Cobble Hill puzzles come with a poster to help along the way, which is handy given how much detail is packed into this one.
The scene has strong focal blocks of colour like the sea and flowers, but the dense stonework, foliage and small architectural details add moderate challenge.
