Christmas Cats by Cobble Hill - 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle

Count the black cats before you even start sorting pieces. There's one perched on the bookshelf, one swiping a bauble off the tinsel tree, one curled up by the record player and another mid-strut across a scattered pile of vinyl. The whole scene is built from a wall of open shelving crammed with vintage Christmas kit: a Santa boot stocking, a Sparkle Brite candle set, three angel figurines, a stack of wrapped presents and a lit-up tinsel tree glowing pink and green.

The mid-century wallpaper behind the shelves and the string of bulb lights along the top give it a proper 1950s department-store-catalogue feel, and the flat teal, mustard and cranberry palette makes this a satisfying one to sort by colour block rather than by picture logic. Lots of small repeated objects - baubles, presents, records - mean you'll want to group by shape as much as shade.

Good one for anyone who likes their Christmas puzzles with a bit of mischief in them rather than pure nostalgia. A poster of the image is included in the box, which is handy given how many little details there are to check as you go.
