If you fancy a puzzle that feels like a proper reset, The Calm of the Mountain by Redina Tili is a gorgeous one to settle into. That snow-capped peak is the star of the show, with painterly sweeps of lavender, ice-blue and soft pink that are so satisfying as they start to join up.
We love how the scene drops down into layered hills and a dreamy valley, dotted with bold trees and pops of colour that keep things interesting without feeling busy. It’s the kind of image where you can enjoy building in sections — sky and clouds, then the crisp mountain face, then the rich bands of landscape below.
Finished, it’s a calm, modern mountain view you’ll want to leave out on the table for a while (and it looks brilliant framed too).
Bold colour blocks and distinct shapes in the mountain and trees help, but the abstract stylisation and varied palette add moderate challenge.
