There's something genuinely lovely about a busy garden centre on a sunny day — the smell of fresh compost, trays of colourful bedding plants as far as the eye can see, and people happily pottering about with trolleys full of things they absolutely don't need but definitely deserve. This Ravensburger puzzle captures all of that perfectly.
The scene is packed with wonderful detail — a classic greenhouse, an arched rose-covered entrance, a 'Shrubs' sign, a 'Pots' section stacked with terracotta, and cheerful visitors of all ages browsing among the blooms. Look carefully and you'll spot topiary, hanging baskets, a small child on a scooter, and all the little moments that make a garden centre visit feel like a proper day out.
The Folk Art style illustration gives it a warm, nostalgic feel without feeling old-fashioned — it's the kind of image you could happily frame once complete. With 500 large-format pieces, it's an accessible and satisfying build that's ideal for a relaxed afternoon or a mindful evening in.
A brilliant gift for garden lovers, Mothers' Day, or anyone who considers a trip to the garden centre their version of retail therapy.
The scene has good colour variety and clear sections (greenhouse, pots area, entrance arch), but the many small figures, plant displays, and mid-green tones across the image create some moderately tricky sorting areas.
