If you've ever pottered about on an allotment — or wished you had one — this delightful puzzle from Ravensburger is going to put a big smile on your face. Seaside Allotment by illustrator Emma Joustra is an absolute riot of colour and activity, packed with all the organised chaos that makes allotment life so wonderfully British.
Look a little closer and you'll spot dogs causing mischief, gardeners tending their raised beds, sheds full of character, overflowing flower borders, butterflies, dragonflies, and the sea glinting in the distance through the trees. It's the kind of image where you keep discovering something new every time you look at it — perfect for a puzzle that you'll genuinely enjoy building.
The cartoon-style illustration by Emma Joustra gives this a lovely hand-drawn energy, with bold outlines and cheerful colours making it an approachable build for a weekend afternoon. At 500 pieces, it's a great one to dip in and out of, or to sit down and crack through with a friend.
It would also make a cracking gift for any gardening enthusiast, allotment holder, or lover of busy, characterful scenes. A proper feel-good puzzle.
The bold cartoon outlines and strong colour variation make sorting manageable, but the sheer number of small characters, plants, tools, and animals across the scene creates plenty of tricky mid-build moments.
