Flea Market Moggies by Kate Mawdsley - 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Gibsons)
Cats at a flea market — honestly, what's not to love? Kate Mawdsley has packed this wonderfully chaotic scene with moggies of every colour, draped over stall awnings, lounging amongst the bric-a-brac and generally causing mischief while the market carries on around them.
Look closely and you'll spot signs for the Meowseum, the Kitty Centre and the Pawrait Gallery — this is very much a market run entirely for (and by) cats. There's a tabby eyeing up a bowl, a tuxedo cat flaked out on a striped canopy, and what appears to be a ginger tom claiming the highest perch in the tree. Typical.
The stalls themselves are crammed with clocks, lamps, potted plants, vintage bits and bobs, and the odd framed cat portrait for sale — all beautifully illustrated in Kate Mawdsley's warm, detailed folk-art style. It's the kind of puzzle where you keep finding something new in the corner of the image every time you look.
1000 pieces of pure cat-fuelled charm. A brilliant build for any cat lover, and a real treat to work through thanks to all those colourful little details.
About this puzzle
The scene is densely packed with dozens of small objects, multiple cats, overlapping stalls, and a wide variety of similarly sized colourful items that will make sorting and placing individual pieces quite tricky.
