Cruising Turtle Island by Gilbert “Magu” Luján – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)

A blue lowrider on whitewall tyres and spoked wheels rolls along a desert road, dog-headed passengers at the windows and flames and scrollwork painted down its flank. Gilbert “Magu” Luján fills the land behind it with a red-tiled mission and palm trees, a stepped pyramid, cacti, curling smoke and a yellow sunburst.

The whole surface is worked in dense coloured pen lines, so the orange desert reads as one texture at piece size. Finished size 73.7 x 50.8cm.
