There's something genuinely thrilling about this aerial scene from artist Matthew Emeny. A classic Avro Vulcan bomber in its iconic green and grey camouflage livery sweeps low over what appears to be the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst, with a parade ground full of soldiers visible below. The contrast between the regimented formality of the grand Georgian buildings and the raw power of that delta-winged aircraft is pretty spectacular.

The painting has a wonderful sense of movement — you really feel the Vulcan banking over the rooftops, its RAF roundels crisp and bold against the camouflage paintwork. The lush green grounds and neatly striped lawns give the whole scene a very quintessentially British feel, full of pride and history.

At 500 pieces, this is a satisfying build that's manageable without being a pushover. The mix of detailed architecture, open green spaces, and that magnificent aircraft gives you plenty of variety as you work through it. A great pick for aviation fans, history buffs, or anyone who loves a bit of British military heritage.
