Christmas Past - 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (House of Puzzles)

The maid's balancing a tray of tea things in the doorway while upstairs someone else is still coming down with more. Downstairs the whole family's crammed into the parlour: a woman in a red dress stands by the window, another picks out a tune at the piano, grandmother's settled with her knitting, and father's got the newspaper up while the dog dozes by the fire. On the floor a boy's unpacking a toy fort and there's a rocking horse waiting its turn.

It's a proper Victorian sitting room, all patterned wallpaper, oil lamps and holly along the mantelpiece, with the tree lit up in the corner hung with paper decorations and a big red bow. Plenty going on to sort through — the red and green will keep you busy, but the real fiddly bit is picking apart all those small toys and figures scattered across the rug.

A good one to have on the go over the festive break, especially if you like a puzzle with a bit of a story to follow round the room.
