Two bicycles are propped against the bridge railings while their owners are off doing something else, one lilac, one red, both leaning at exactly the same tired angle. Baskets of pink and white flowers run along the rail on either side of them, and below, the canal has turned to molten gold with the sun going down at the far end.
Stand there a minute on the cobbles and you would hear the boats knocking gently against the quay!
The golden sunset reflection on the canal water is challenging, but the colourful bicycles, flowers, and trees offer good visual anchors.
