Summer in the Colorado mountains, and the creek comes down through the middle of the town in a series of little falls, turquoise and cold. Pines and aspens crowd right up to the water, roofs and balconies show between them, and the high ridge beyond is bare and sunlit above the treeline.
Stand down by the water for a minute and you would hear it over everything else. The colours here are turned right up!
