An owl sits on his stump and stares straight out at you, entirely unbothered, in every colour the artist had to hand. His face is picked out in pink and lime, his breast is covered in mandala patterns, and those yellow eyes have clearly made up their mind about something.
Behind him the background is a wash of coral and turquoise, flicked with dots and spirals and a couple of painted handprints. Not a bird for blending in!
