A Christmas Wish

Three children have their noses against the toyshop window and are going nowhere at all. Joshua's Toys has the corner of the street, trains and dolls and bicycles promised along the awning, and the whole window is lit gold while the snow turns quietly grey outside. Behind them the square has its tree up and the town hall clock glows through the dusk.

Snow, slush and low winter light everywhere, with the shop window the one hot spot in the picture. Finished size 69 x 49cm
