There is so much to love about this gorgeous coastal scene from artist Robert Barry. A warm amber sunset blazes over white chalk cliffs and a lighthouse in the distance, while fishing boats are pulled up on the beach and sailing dinghies catch the last of the evening breeze out on the water.
In the foreground, beachgoers are enjoying a summer evening stroll, a dog trots along the sand, and seagulls and oystercatchers wheel overhead. The little stone cottage tucked into the cliffside, draped in flowering plants and with steps leading down to the shore, is absolutely charming.
The Big 250 format from House of Puzzles uses larger pieces, making this a brilliant choice for puzzlers who want all the fun and beauty of a detailed scene without the strain of fiddly tiny pieces. Includes unique shaped pieces too, which always adds a nice little surprise as you build.
A lovely gift idea for anyone who loves the British coast, and a real joy to frame and display once complete.
The scene has rich colour variety and clear focal points, but the busy mix of sea, sky, cliffs, figures, and boats with similar coastal tones in the mid-ground provides a moderate challenge.
