Planet Earth 2020 – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Schmidt)

The Earth turns below, half in daylight and half in darkness, with the lights of its cities glittering along the coastlines. Around it drift great spiked shapes in pink and gold and pale blue, one of them hanging directly above the clouds.

Several are already coming apart, breaking into bright shards that scatter away into the stars. A ribbon of blue light streaks across the planet, and the whole thing sits against the deep black of space.
