Four balloons drifting over the temples at dawn, with the golden spires just breaking through a sea of green below and the far side of the valley still lost in haze. Somebody up in those baskets is having the morning of their life.
A photograph rather than a painting, and the light does all the work: gold on the temple tops, everything beneath them still in shadow.
About this puzzle
3/5
Medium
The lush green canopy and ancient brick temples provide good colour contrast and distinct shapes, though the similarly toned green foliage across the lower half adds moderate challenge.
