Monteverde by Charley Harper – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)

A resplendent quetzal runs the full height of the picture — green head, crimson breast, two tail streamers trailing to the bottom edge — against the near-black of the Monteverde cloud forest. Charley Harper hides the rest in the dark around it: a blue morpho, an orange-breasted trogon, a coati's face, a hummingbird, orchids, a spider on its thread and a rainbow arcing through the lower corners.

Most of the sheet is that black-green canopy, so the birds and leaves go in first and the dark fills in around them. Finished size 73.6 x 50.8cm.
