Bruegel fills a whole town square with children and gives every one of them something to do. There are hoops and knucklebones, a boy walking on stilts, girls at leapfrog, somebody in a barrel, a headstand against a wall and a great tangle of them piling on top of each other in the middle. Nobody is looking at anybody else.
