Evening at Niagara, with the sky streaked pink and gold and the falls going over in one long white curve. Mist climbs out of the gorge in great slow clouds, and across on the Canadian side the hotels and the tower have all switched their lights on.

Searchlights swing out over the river and lay coloured stripes on the water, so the whole turquoise stretch below the falls is pink one moment and blue the next!
