The old town sits inside a great loop of the river, packed so tightly the terracotta roofs seem to lean on one another. The castle keeps to its ridge on the left with its painted tower, a church spire rises out of the middle, and below the houses the water tips over a weir and slides into the trees.
Green hills and open fields run off behind, and the sky is doing what a summer sky should — blue, with white clouds piling over the hills.
The aerial perspective shows dense clusters of similarly coloured terracotta rooftops with the winding river, making it challenging to distinguish individual buildings and areas.
