A clifftop village catching the last of the sun, painted the way Pinson paints light, which is to say the whole picture has gone gold. Tall houses with verandas stand along the rocks, two sailing boats are running home across the bay, and the water in the foreground is breaking over the stones in orange and violet.
Blended sunset colour with soft edges everywhere, so the houses and rigging carry it. Finished size 69 x 48cm.
Sky and water blend continuously through the same golds with very few hard boundaries.
