Village Blacksmith by Kevin Walsh - 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (FX Schmid - Ravensburger)

There is so much to love about this beautifully painted scene. A gleaming red Jaguar XK140 has pulled up outside the Rigby Blacksmith forge, a horse is being shod, chickens are wandering across the lane, and a couple on horseback are clip-clopping past a gorgeous thatched cottage with a church tower just visible through the trees. It is quintessential English village life, and every inch of it is packed with charm.

Kevin Walsh has a real gift for capturing that golden, unhurried feeling of a bygone British afternoon, and this painting is one of his finest. The warm afternoon light, the lush green trees, and all those little details (the border collie, the geese, the swallows overhead) make this a genuinely rewarding puzzle to build. You will keep spotting things you missed.

With a good mix of colour variety, architectural detail, foliage, and open sky, this one sits nicely in the middle ground for difficulty: satisfying without being punishing. A brilliant choice for fans of classic British countryside scenes.
