The Summons - 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Cobble Hill)

A barn owl comes in to land on a candlelit windowsill, wings thrown wide against a huge harvest moon. Behind it, a stone archway carries a pentagram and a run of coloured potion bottles, while gnarled trees and a distant church tower fade into the moonlight.

The foreground is where this one gets interesting to build — a stack of old leather-bound books, a brass sextant, lilies and orchids in bloom, and a ginger cat curled up fast asleep among more little bottles of tinted liquid. Lots of small, similarly toned objects close together, so it's worth sorting the potion colours and book spines out early on.

Cobble Hill puzzles come with a printed poster to work from, which helps here given how much detail is packed into the lower half of the image. A good one for an evening by candlelight yourself, or for anyone who likes their jigsaws with a bit of witchy atmosphere.
