Taking Off by Pat Scott – 500 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)

Forty-odd ducks, geese and swans lifting off a green lake at once: black swans with red bills, Canada geese, mallards with bottle-green heads, pintails and wigeon, each painted flat and clear against a plain blue sky. Yellow ducklings paddle through the ripples below. Pat Scott finished it in 1996.

Every bird is distinct enough to place on sight, which leaves the blank upper sky as the only slow stretch. Finished size 61 x 46cm.
