Christmas dinner in the Great Hall, and the ceiling has quietly turned into a winter sky — snow coming down over the long tables and never once landing, hundreds of candles hanging in the air among it. A tree the height of the wall stands at the far end in gold lights, the fire is roaring in the great hearth, and the whole school is sat down to eat underneath.
Gold candlelight against deep midnight blue, with a good deal of falling snow filling the top half. Finished size 69 x 49cm
The upper half is a repeating field of candles and falling snow on dark blue.
