The last thing Klimt had on his easel when he died, and it was still unfinished. A woman stands with one shoulder bare and a fan held up in front of her, her robe worked in scarlet and blue, and behind her the ground is a flat yellow crowded with Chinese phoenixes, lotus flowers and pheasants in the manner he had taken to by then.
Two thousand pieces of dense ornament on flat yellow. Finished size 69 x 98cm.
Two thousand pieces of decorative motifs repeating across one broad yellow ground.
