The Grand Canal at the end of the day with the sun going down straight along it. Gondolas are working the near stretch under a little arched bridge, the buildings either side are in ochre and rose with their shutters open and washing out, and the dome of Santa Maria della Salute sits in the haze at the far end.
Fifteen hundred pieces, with the water carrying a full reflection of everything above it. Finished size 85 x 61cm.
