The back of the shed, where the tools live. Trowels and shears hang off nails in the weathered boards, birdhouses are wedged along the shelf above, and a wheelbarrow underneath has been given over entirely to geraniums. There are seed packets, a watering can, terracotta pots stacked three deep and a robin keeping an eye on all of it.
Grey weathered boards behind, with every tool and pot a different shape against them. Finished size 69 x 48cm.
The plank wall is a long run of similar grey, but the tools and flowers in front of it are all distinct.
