A great cat's head takes the right-hand side in gold and amber, birds and smaller creatures come out of the paint at every angle around it, and the whole thing is laid down in broad palette-knife strokes so nothing has a clean outline anywhere.

Thick blended colour with no hard edges, so this is a slow and rewarding one. Finished size 69 x 48cm.
