A page straight out of an old natural history encyclopaedia, given over entirely to woodpeckers. Eleven of them are at work on the same stand of pale trunks — one in black and white clinging halfway up the bark, a big black bird with a scarlet cap gripping on beside it, another with a whole crimson head peering round from the far side.
Down at the bottom one has given up on the trees altogether and gone head-first into an anthill instead!
Multiple bird species with detailed plumage set against a naturalistic woodland background with varied textures.
