It's the day of the Mid-Summer Fair and the whole village has turned out! The bakery and tea house has its tables laid on the front terrace, the woman in the doorway is balancing a tray for the first customers, and a little further up the lane a pony and cart is loaded with fresh bakes, ready to trundle off to the fair.
Banners are strung between the birch trees, flowers are tumbling out of every window box, and a bluebird is watching it all from the branches. The only question is whether to sit down for the special tea or follow the cobbles on to the fair.
Dense, intricate detail across the whole picture with lots of similar foliage greens and cobbled path textures, though the bright flowers and signs give some clear landmarks.
