A naturalist's plate has been laid out on the desk, and every specimen carries its French name in tiny print. The huge green Priam spreads its wings along the bottom, the pale Argemme moth trails its long tails down the middle, and the Vulcain, the Machaon and the Paon de jour are all lined up waiting to be named.
Which one would you pin first?
The plain white background and clearly separated, brightly coloured specimens give plenty of clues, but the many similar wing patterns and the small French labels make some areas fiddly.
