She sits with her hands folded one over the other, turned slightly towards you, and gives you that look she has been giving people ever since Leonardo set her down in 1503. Behind her the land falls away into a winding river, a little bridge, and hills going hazy blue in the distance.
Look at the smile for long enough and it starts to change. Nobody has ever quite agreed on what she is thinking, and that is rather the point of her!
