The watch has given up. Its gold case has gone soft and slumped like warm toffee, the face drooping in the middle, the numerals sliding out of their places, and the whole right-hand side is flying apart in a shower of splinters and shards.
A fly has landed on it regardless, quite untroubled, and a moth rests in the shadows below. Past the block of stone behind it you can see a strip of cliff and a slip of green evening sky.
Surrealist imagery with ambiguous shapes, muted gradients, and fragmented forms make piece differentiation challenging.
