Spring done as folk art, with everything flattened out and outlined and arranged just so. A great sun-and-flower medallion fills the left panel, a birdhouse sits in the middle with birds coming and going, and the borders are worked with tulips, daisies and leaves in the way a painted chest or a narrowboat would be.

Bold flat colour inside heavy outlines, which sorts more easily than it looks. Finished size 69 x 48cm.
