Yard Sale by Mattie Lou O'Kelley – 500 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)

A yellow clapboard farmhouse with a red brick chimney climbing its flank, a red barn opposite hand-lettered CLOTHES, ORANGES, LAMPS, MARMALADE and ODDS AND ENDS, and the lawn between them covered in things for sale: chairs, trunks, a rocking horse, a settee, framed pictures, crates of oranges. Mattie Lou O'Kelley painted it in 1979 from memories of rural Georgia, and the small girl in the doorway is thought to be her.

The people and the goods give you plenty to work from; the grass and the blossom trees are where it slows. Finished size 68.5 x 45.7cm
