Clapboard houses in yellow, mint, lilac and coral stack up a green hillside above a deep blue harbour, white staircases zigzagging between them and jetties standing on stilts out over the water. Darlene Kulig painted it after seeing the painted terraces of St John's, Newfoundland, and dropped a navy warehouse with red window frames into the right-hand edge.
The houses sort quickly by colour; the pale grey sky along the top and the open water below are where it stalls. Finished size 50.8 x 50.8cm.
Distinct colourful houses, clear water area, and varied shapes throughout make this a relatively straightforward puzzle to assemble.
