Gustav’s Cat by Darlene Kulig – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)

A yellow house with a blue arched door and lit windows sits under an orange roof, behind bare trees hung with round fruit. Two women in patterned robes stand on grass so green it reads as flat colour, a grey cat watching from a fork in the trunk beside them, and a grey path scattered with red and orange dots curves up to the door. Darlene Kulig set it in Vienna in 2015, nodding to Klimt in the circular patterns and the women's clothes; the cat is her own invention.

Square format, with wide flat stretches of lawn and path broken only by scattered dots, so sorting by dot colour is most of the job. Finished size 63.5 x 63.5cm.
