Nature Journal: Autumn by Cobble Hill - 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle

A fox trots along the top edge while a weasel pokes its head up between courgette leaves lower down, and there's a squirrel making off with an apple almost twice the size of its head. This is a collage puzzle, so rather than one flowing scene you get dozens of small vignettes stitched together — toadstools and mushrooms in one panel, bluetits at a nesting box in another, magpies and hydrangeas along the bottom.

It's a good one for anyone who likes sorting by colour before they start, as the panels break the picture into manageable chunks of pink blossom, green foliage, autumn leaf and soft cream background. The detail is fine throughout, from the spots on the toadstool caps to the individual berries on the blackberry sprigs, so it's worth doing somewhere with decent light.

A poster is included to help keep track of where everything goes, which is handy given how many small creatures and objects are packed into the design.
