It's a gorgeous day at the seaside, and the surfers are on the lookout for new boards. Your objective in Longboard is to create the largest and most impressive longboards, establishing your surfboard-making business as the most popular in the area. Surf's up!
In this game, players take turns drafting and trading surfboard pieces to construct their boards. Each turn, players can take two actions, with three possible types of actions:
Each board card has 1-3 stickers, which count as points when the surfboard is complete, consisting of at least four cards. When a player has 3-4 complete boards, with at least one of them having 7+ cards, they can choose to end the game. If this doesn't happen before the deck runs out, the game ends at that point. Players then score points for stickers on completed boards, lose points for incomplete boards, and score bonus points if they have the longest completed board, the most completed boards, or if they've completed any of the four random objective cards at the start of the game.
Clear distinct areas of sky, ocean, and beach with bold colours and simple shapes make this relatively straightforward.
