The Spitfire comes round hard with its guns going, close enough that you can see the pilot in the cockpit and the roundel on the wing. Its propeller is a blur, and one of the fighters marked with black crosses is already trailing smoke on its way down.
More of them are stacked above and below, contrails scratched across the blue behind, and a floor of white cloud a long way underneath!
