In the Doghouse – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Cobble Hill)

Five puppies have taken over the yard at dusk — a chocolate Labrador in an orange bandana, a yellow one peeking over the kennel roof, a black pup and a golden retriever carrying off the rolled newspaper. Behind them a lantern glows inside the doghouse, an old radio on the shelf, with stacked tyres, a picket fence and a wooden duck decoy in the long grass.

The dark twilight sky and grassy foreground are the slow part; the puppies and painted fence give you plenty of colour to sort first. Finished size 69 x 49cm.
