Christmas Visitors

A living room on Christmas morning, French doors thrown open onto the snow. A pack of dogs and a couple of cats crowd the doorway to watch two snowmen in the garden, while a golden retriever sleeps on the sofa by the tree. Presents sit wrapped under the branches, a 'Merry Christmas' bunting is strung across the window, and horses stand in a snowy field beyond.

The warm room and the cool snowy garden each carry plenty of detail; the plain white sofa and the snow are the slow patches. Finished size 69 x 49cm.
