Every inch of wall is hung with pictures, right up to the ceiling, and the Archdukes have come to see them. She is seated in gold brocade with an enormous ruff and a fan; a greyhound stands at her elbow and a little spaniel has come to sit at her feet.

Around them the collection spills out — a globe on the red table, sculptures along the mantel, a violin on the wall, flowers in a stone vase, and a monkey on the floor playing with a ball!
