If you fancy a 1000-piece that feels properly dramatic on the table, Blend Cota: The Way Through the Sea is a brilliant pick. It’s all towering waves, spray and swirling sky, with a bustling crowd of figures and animals pressing forward through the foaming water.
This one’s especially satisfying because every section has its own little challenge: choppy turquoise seas, shadowy rocks, flashes of lightning-light and those rich reds and golds in the clothing that help you build in rewarding pockets. Expect plenty to spot as you go, and a finished image that looks like a painting you’d happily keep out for a while.
