Anders Lyon has crammed what looks like every famous musical ever staged into a single chaotic illustration. There's a red convertible that can only be from Grease, a chandelier drop that points firmly at Phantom, ballgowns, tap shoes, a piano being played at full tilt in the foreground, and enough ensemble cast members packed into theatre balconies to fill the West End twice over. The word MUSICALS runs down the centre in block letters, which is handy, because without it you'd spend the first ten minutes just figuring out what you're looking at.
As a build, this one is a proper challenge. The illustration is dense from edge to edge — no sky, no plain background, just wall-to-wall figures, costumes and colour. Sorting by scene or costume colour is probably your best approach, but even then you'll hit patches where six different characters are wearing similar shades of pink. Comes with a poster, which you'll want nearby throughout. The triangular box is classic Heye.
The image is packed edge-to-edge with dozens of characters, costumes and overlapping scenes in a dense cartoon style with no plain or restful areas to anchor sorting.
