This is a seek-and-find puzzle built around the films of Alfred Hitchcock, illustrated by Alexandre Clérisse in his distinctive flat, geometric style. Across one busy scene you get the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco hills from Vertigo, the Bates Motel sign sitting in plain sight beside a police car, the rear-window apartment block with figures frozen in their lit rooms, a brooding English manor, a biplane, and — lurking in the bottom-right corner — a cluster of unnerving eyes that needs no introduction.
The illustration packs a lot in without feeling cluttered. Clérisse uses a limited palette of dusty pinks, muted greens and warm brick tones, so the scene holds together as a whole even as individual film references hide in the detail. Spotting them all is half the entertainment before a piece goes down. The seek-and-find element also makes this one to do with company rather than solo — someone will always be finding something you missed.
Published under Heye's Movie Masters series. 1000 pieces.
The flat, graphic illustration style and limited muted palette mean many sections share similar tones, and the dense collage of small scene vignettes with fine detail makes sorting and placing tricky.
