If you love a puzzle with plenty going on, Spitfire Surprise is a brilliant little scene to get stuck into. A puffing steam train charges along the track while a crowd pauses to watch a low-flying Spitfire swoop overhead – the sort of moment that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a spring afternoon in the countryside.
You’ll get lots of satisfying sections to build: the billowing white steam, that big sweep of blue sky and cloud, the brick railway bridge, and all the fresh colour in the blossom trees and wildflowers. With XL pieces, it’s a lovely choice for a relaxed session without losing any of the detail.
