The Reichstag seen across the Spree on a clear autumn afternoon, with the flag up and Foster's glass dome sitting on top of all that nineteenth-century stone. The trees along the near bank have turned, the water is flat, and the whole long neoclassical front runs across the picture with its columns and pediment.
A wide flat river across the base and a long run of pale stone above it. Finished size 69 x 48cm.
The river and the sky are both broad areas of even tone, and the facade repeats the same columns along its length.
