Two brown bears stand up on their hind legs on a dirt path, noses tipped back at a drift of pink and blue butterflies. Robert Bissell set them between pale-barked trees looking down a valley, the sun sitting on the horizon and the sky washed yellow-gold. Red and purple anemones grow around their feet.
The open sky is the slow part, a wide gradient of gold into blue broken only by scattered butterflies. Finished size 61 x 46cm.
Good colour variation between the warm sunset sky, green foliage, and dark bears but some tree areas have similar tones.
